BHACO: Bremen-Hamburg Initiative on Algorithms, Combinatorics and Optimization

About the initiative

The Bremen-Hamburg initiative was started in 2018 by Petra Berenbrink from University of Hamburg and Nicole Megow from University of Bremen. The intent of the initiative is to bring together researchers from north-western Germany in the field of algorithms, combinatorics, and optimization, and to provide an accessible platform to discuss new developments and interesting open problems in their fields.

Bremen-Hamburg Colloquium on ACO on March 23, 2020
cancelled

The BHACO Colloquium 2020 is cancelled due to the current situtation related with the Corona virus. We hope to have this meeting at some later point in time.
This one-day colloquium on topics around algorithms, combinatorics and optimization is organized by Nicole Megow and Sebastian Siebertz.

Academic organization

The program consists of three keynote lectures given by our invited speakers: In addition to our keynote lectures, there will contributed talks.

Non-academic organization

The colloquium will start on Monday, March 23rd, at 10:00am, at the Haus der Wissenschaft in Bremen which is within a 10min walk from the main station in Bremen. The address is:

We will provide coffee and tea starting at 10:00am. The official part begins at 10:30am and ends around 5:30pm. Before a joint dinner, we offer a guided tour through the city center of Bremen. The dinner takes place at 7pm at Ratskeller Bremen and is at your own expense.
